作者有話要說： 要說明的是，這兩章關於斯賓塞-丘吉爾家族的聖誕傳統，現實生活是不存在的，也沒有哪個貴族家庭曾經實施過，事實上大部分那個時候的貴族家族都不可能對自己的僕人或者是領地的居民那麼好，唐頓也是經過了美化。

最後的禱詞，原文來自於聖公宗的prayer book，專門針對公爵與皇室家庭成員的禱詞部分，有改動，是我自己翻譯的。
